Meet the Team
I became increasingly interested in the DreamUp Project because of my 6th Grade Facilitator, Ms. Gill, who always encourages us to never give up even in the face of hard times. As a kid, I wasn’t always interested in science, but thanks to my 6th Grade Science facilitator, Mr. Max, who gave me my first book about science, I became very interested in all aspects of science!
In my spare time, I enjoy painting and reading, I am learning how to ride a skateboard, and I love dogs and cats.
This project is extremely important to me because it is allowing me to build relationships with others and to build communication and collaboration skills. I know that this is an extremely unique and special opportunity for me to work with actual astronauts, the Nannorocks Team, and NASA. I am most excited about our future plans to visit the Kennedy Space Station and to see our project launched because I am passionately working towards my future career as an astronomer. I love learning about space and I enjoy math.
I decided to participate in the DreamUp Project because it is a huge, life-changing thing; it is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I am grateful to be a part of. I look forward to this journey with my friends/teammates.
I had some interest in science before, but nothing extreme until last year. Our 6th Grade Facilitator, Ms. Gill introduced us to an eco-column project that completely sparked my interest in science. We learned about ecosystems, sustainable growing practices, the impact we have on our planet, and how we play a part in global warming. The DreamUp project is helping me to develop a better understanding of teamwork, collaboration, and science.
I am passionate about sharing and understanding the opinions of others. I enjoy spending time with my family, singing, watching T.V., dancing and trying new things. I also love playing games like dominoes, blackjack, and pool; even though I tend to lose a lot.
I decided to participate in the DreamUp Project because I want to be a part of something that can be life-changing. I have always been a little interested in science, and I think I am good at it. My interest in science increased when we presented our Aloe Vera project at the College of The Canyons. It was exciting to see so many learners like myself who had an interest in the same thing.
Working on this project is helping me to be a leader and now I look forward to starting my own club. I love to draw and I plan to create my own comic book. Most of all, I love watching Anime.
I decided to participate in the DreamUp Project because it is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I have always been interested in science, especially in alien biology and astronomy. My curiosity in every subject and about life has led to my interest in science.
I think I will learn more about how a minor project can become a major project and I look forward to learning more about the International Space Station and the jobs of the astronauts. I am very passionate about my family, my friends, school, art, and about this DreamUp project. I am a leader and I look forward to achieving my goals and to follow my dreams.
