On Thursday, November 9, iLEAD Antelope Valley Studio celebrated their DreamUp Launch Team Aloe Vera!
At their DreamUp Awards Ceremony, held at Empower Generations in Lancaster, California, the school honored the hard work of team members Shyla M, Gabi S, Mason M, Xander B, Avery V, Harmony B, Kamya P, Marlaya F, and Raegan B (Intern), as well as Principal Facilitator Kaitlyn Reed. Guests were delighted to hear from presenter Albion Bowers, NASA Armstrong Chief Scientist (Retired), and they were also honored by the presence of Thomas Moreno from Senator Scott Wilk’s office and DJ Hamburger from iLEAD California’s board of directors.
The team’s experiment was launched on SpaceX’s Dragon cargo spacecraft to the International Space Station on Thursday, along with their school’s Mission Patch Artwork Design Challenge selected artwork by Karolina G, Austin M, and Klarissa G!
