Timothee Secall Barrier (14 years old) is an nineth-grader at SCVi and can speak three other languages, German, French, and Spanish! He plays ice hockey and in an after-school theater program.
What’s a fun fact that you learned while being in the Dream Up To Space project?
“Foam “boats” are not what they seem: they’re actually round pieces of foam–this is what we are using as a substrate for our yucca seeds and what our seeds will germinate in when in Space.”
Who do you look up to and why?
“David Aebischer, he is a goaltender who kept playing with a broken nose –that shows grit and determination.”
Why did you choose to be a part of this launch team?
“I wanted to be on this team because it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, I knew I would never be able to send something up in space again!”
